ATARI 2700 (RC STELLA) WIRELESS VIDEO COMPUTER SYSTEM PROTOTYPE
The Atari 2700 prototype was designed in 1982. It was intended to be a wireless replacement for the Atari 2600 Console. The wireless controllers had a 1000 foot signal radius. Unfortunately this redesigned version of the Atari 2600 was never released. That makes this item extremely rare. Only a few prototypes were ever produced and fewer than 10 are known to exist today.
This item has been tested. The system powers up and plays games as expected. These Atari 2700 wireless controllers are nonfunctional. The system has controller ports to allow you to use traditional controllers or this item can be paired with Atari 2600 Wireless Controllers.
We have had the opportunity to evaluate several Atari 2700s and have found that none of them have working wireless controllers. The antenna on one of the wireless controllers has been disconnected. See picture for details.
